The Murilla Community Newsletter was first established, in 1995, to ensure information was circulated to all areas and community members in the vicinity of the old Murilla Shire.
Once a black and white, bi-monthly publication, the newsletter is now printed in full colour once a month and contains a number of monthly features and important information relating to our community.
In May 2022, Murilla Community Newsletter expanded, received a facelift, AND will be called Community Newsletter from now on.
This project is supported by Chinchilla Community Centre and Tara Neighbourhood Centre.
Our aim: Community News to become a regional publication that incorporates content from more townships and is distributed to a wider audience.
The creation and distribution of a regional Community Newsletter will improve residents’ connectivity to businesses in their local area as well as surrounding districts. This helps to build small town pride and bring economic flow through to many communities.
Monthly, 4000 copies of the Community Newsletter are available at more than 40 pick-up points.
Pick-Up Points are in Miles, Condamine, Dulacca, Jackson, Wandoan, Taroom, Tara, Chinchilla, The Gums, Meandarra, Glenmorgan and Brigalow. Find a list of some of the current pick-up points here.
